Its radically redesigned interior introduces the latest MBUX Superscreen, while a completely new digital experience powered by Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS) brings artificial intelligence, intelligent navigation and highly intuitive vehicle interaction to the compact SUV segment.

Electric Performance and Long-Distance Capability
The GLB 250+ with EQ Technology and the GLB 350 4MATIC with EQ Technology are scheduled to enter the market in spring 2026.
With a usable battery capacity of 85 kWh, both models feature a state-of-the-art 800-volt electrical architecture. The 200 kW GLB 250+ delivers up to 631 kilometres of WLTP range, giving it a leading position in its class. The range-topping GLB 350 4MATIC produces 260 kW and combines electric performance with all-wheel-drive capability.
Fast charging is equally impressive. At compatible 800-volt DC charging stations, the GLB can add up to 260 kilometres of WLTP range in approximately 10 minutes, with charging power of up to 320 kW. The vehicle can also use 400-volt charging infrastructure, while AC charging is supported at up to 22 kW.
The electric portfolio will subsequently expand with additional battery-electric variants, including an entry-level model and advanced hybrid versions.
Sales Launch and Pricing
In Germany, customers can configure and order the new electric GLB from 8 December 2025.
The GLB 250+ with EQ Technology starts at €59,048, while the GLB 350 4MATIC with EQ Technology starts at €62,178.
Mercedes-Benz is also offering attractive leasing and financing packages, including a monthly leasing rate of €305 for private customers, making the new GLB more accessible to a broader range of drivers.
Designed Around Real Life
The new GLB places flexibility at the heart of its design. Customers can choose between a five-seat configuration and a seven-seat layout with two additional individual seats in the third row.
That flexibility makes the GLB equally suited to everyday family duties, transporting friends or accommodating unexpected plans. A longitudinally adjustable second-row bench further enhances its practicality, allowing occupants to prioritise either passenger comfort or additional luggage space.
The second row can be moved through a 140-millimetre range, while the backrests can be reclined in multiple stages. In the five-seater, this system can increase luggage capacity by up to 140 litres.
More Space for Passengers and Luggage
The new GLB has been engineered to provide a noticeable improvement in passenger comfort. Its wheelbase has grown by 60 millimetres to 2,889 millimetres, creating additional space particularly for rear passengers.
Second-row legroom increases by up to 68 millimetres, while improvements to the seating position, seat foam and lateral support enhance long-distance comfort.
The roofline and standard panoramic roof contribute to greater headroom and an exceptionally open interior. Compared with the EQB, maximum headroom increases by 35 millimetres for the driver and front passenger, while rear headroom increases by 64 millimetres in the second row and 10 millimetres in the third row.
The optional third-row seats can accommodate passengers up to 1.71 metres tall, three centimetres more than the previous generation. Access is also easier, thanks to enlarged rear door openings and a 32-millimetre increase in the Easy Entry adjustment range.
A Boot Designed for Everyday Demands
The new electric GLB is designed to eliminate the familiar family-holiday luggage puzzle.
Its front boot, or “frunk”, offers 127 litres of capacity—104 litres according to ISO 3832—making it the largest front storage compartment in the new model family. It can accommodate items such as a drinks crate, three footballs or a compact tent.
At the rear, luggage capacity reaches 540 litres in the five-seater and 480 litres in the seven-seater. With the rear seats folded, capacity increases to 1,715 litres and 1,605 litres, respectively.
The rear seats are split 40:20:40, allowing individual sections to be folded according to the load. In the seven-seater, the longitudinally adjustable second-row bench is standard, while it is available as an option on five-seat models.
In five-seat versions, the height-adjustable load compartment floor provides additional flexibility, either maximising loading height or creating an additional storage area underneath.
Ready for Adventure
The new GLB is just as comfortable leaving the city behind as it is navigating urban streets.
On 4MATIC models, the electric motor on the front axle can engage rapidly when additional traction is required. A dedicated TERRAIN MODE adapts the drivetrain, steering and braking characteristics for conditions such as fields and gravel roads.
The Transparent Bonnet function provides a virtual view of the area beneath the vehicle, helping drivers manoeuvre more confidently over challenging terrain.
The GLB is also remarkably capable when it comes to towing. With a towing capacity of up to two tonnes, it ranks among the strongest battery-electric vehicles in its segment and is capable of towing a full-size caravan. A maximum drawbar load of 100 kilograms also makes it possible to carry e-bikes on suitable rear-mounted carriers.
Intelligent Safety and Assistance
The new GLB incorporates an extensive suite of driver-assistance technologies. In Europe, DISTRONIC distance control is fitted as standard.
The vehicle's hardware includes eight cameras, five radar sensors and 12 ultrasonic sensors, supported by a water-cooled high-performance computer designed with sufficient processing capacity for future functions and ongoing over-the-air updates.
Mercedes-Benz now brings its driver-assistance technologies together under the MB.DRIVE umbrella. Additional Digital Extras can be activated through the Mercedes-Benz Store, with further functions capable of being introduced through future software updates.
Built for Long Journeys
With up to 631 kilometres of WLTP range, the GLB 250+ is designed to make long-distance electric travel easier.
Journeys such as Cologne to Berlin, Rome to Venice or Lyon to Strasbourg can be completed without a charging stop under suitable conditions. Comparable long-distance journeys are also possible in markets such as China and the United States.
When a recharge is required, the 800-volt architecture significantly reduces charging time. Up to 260 kilometres of WLTP range can be added in around 10 minutes, while maximum DC charging power reaches 320 kW at compatible charging stations.
Comfort When You Want It, Dynamism When You Need It
The GLB combines everyday comfort with responsive driving characteristics.
Adaptive damping is available with 20-inch wheels, allowing drivers to adjust the vehicle's character through DYNAMIC SELECT. Comfort mode prioritises a relaxed, smooth ride, while Sport mode delivers a firmer and more dynamic driving experience.
Family-Friendly by Design
The new GLB has been engineered with families in mind. Up to four child seats can be installed across the second and third rows, with an additional child seat possible in the front passenger position.
This unusual level of flexibility reinforces the GLB's role as a practical family SUV without compromising its premium character.
Hybrid Technology Joins the Line-Up
Following the launch of the battery-electric models, Mercedes-Benz will expand the GLB range with additional powertrain options.
These will include an entry-level electric model as well as advanced hybrid variants featuring 48-volt technology and an electric motor integrated into the transmission.
The new combustion engine will initially be offered in three power levels. Depending on the model, customers will be able to choose between front-wheel drive and 4MATIC all-wheel drive.
The hybrid system will also allow the vehicle to drive purely on electric power under certain conditions while recovering energy through regenerative braking.
A New Interpretation of Mercedes-Benz SUV Design
The new GLB introduces a more confident interpretation of Mercedes-Benz SUV design.
Its upright front end, steep windscreen, short overhangs and powerful proportions create a distinctive silhouette. Muscular shoulders, a wide track and flush-mounted wheels reinforce its planted stance, while surrounding wheel-arch cladding and visual underride protection emphasise its adventurous character.
One of the most distinctive design elements is the illuminated radiator grille, featuring 94 individually animated LED stars in a chrome finish. Depending on local regulations, the central Mercedes-Benz star can also be illuminated.
Hybrid versions are distinguished by a traditional Mercedes-Benz grille pattern in chrome, framed by a standard LED light guide.
A Panoramic Interior Experience
A large standard panoramic roof creates an exceptionally bright and spacious cabin.
The optional SKY CONTROL panoramic roof introduces another level of personalisation. Within milliseconds, the glass can switch between a transparent setting for an unobstructed view of the sky and an opaque, milky appearance for increased privacy.
At night, the interior becomes even more distinctive, with 158 illuminated stars creating a unique visual atmosphere.
The MBUX Superscreen Takes Centre Stage
The redesigned interior is built around a new high-tech architecture dominated by the optional MBUX Superscreen.
Behind its expansive glass surface are three displays:
- A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster for the driver
- A 14-inch central display
- A 14-inch front-passenger display
A floating, high-mounted centre console adds to the modern architecture while providing additional storage.
The new steering wheel has been redesigned for improved ergonomics and intuitive operation. Responding to customer feedback, Mercedes-Benz has also brought back a rocker switch for the limiter and DISTRONIC functions, alongside a dedicated roller for volume control.
Personalised to Your Taste
The new GLB can be configured through a broad range of equipment and design options, including Progressive Line, AMG Line and AMG Line Plus, together with the Night Package and numerous additional choices.
A wide selection of interior materials and trim elements allows customers to tailor the cabin to their preferences.
The MBUX Superscreen also offers 11 ambient styles, each combining different visual themes with coordinated instrument-cluster colours, controls and ambient lighting.
MB.OS: A New Digital Foundation
At the heart of the new GLB is Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), the company's in-house software platform.
Designed around connected vehicle computing and Mercedes-Benz's Intelligent Cloud, MB.OS enables regular over-the-air updates for key vehicle functions, including driver-assistance technologies.
The result is a vehicle that can continue to evolve long after it leaves the showroom. Additional Digital Extras can also be purchased through the Mercedes-Benz Store, allowing customers to add functions and experiences over time.
The Fourth Generation of MBUX
MB.OS introduces the fourth generation of Mercedes-Benz's MBUX experience, creating a more personalised and intuitive relationship between driver and vehicle.
For the first time, the system combines artificial intelligence technologies from Microsoft and Google, bringing multiple AI agents together within a single in-car ecosystem.
This architecture provides greater flexibility for integrating third-party content while retaining the familiar Mercedes-Benz user experience.
A More Natural Way to Interact
The new MBUX Virtual Assistant takes conversational interaction to another level.
Powered by generative AI, the system can handle more complex, multi-step conversations and maintain short-term conversational context. Its capabilities draw on ChatGPT-4o, Microsoft Bing and Google Gemini.
Google Gemini enhances navigation-related interactions, allowing the assistant to draw on Google Maps information to answer detailed questions about destinations, points of interest and routes.
The assistant remains accessible through the MBUX Zero Layer, represented by a dynamic on-screen avatar designed to make interaction feel more natural and engaging.

Navigation in the new GLB is based on Google Maps, with Mercedes-Benz integrating advanced Google Cloud technology into its in-car experience.
The system combines route planning with electric-vehicle intelligence, taking factors such as charging requirements into account when calculating the fastest and most convenient journey.
MBUX Surround Navigation further enhances situational awareness by combining the driver-assistance view with a real-time 3D representation of the vehicle's surroundings and route.
