Maserati MCPura (2026)

Maserati MCPURA: The Purest Expression of Italian Super Sports Performance

Maserati has officially unveiled the all-new MCPURA, a groundbreaking super sports car that embodies the purest expression of energy, performance, and elegance—true to the Trident’s legacy. The world premiere took place at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2025, the iconic global automotive event held in the spectacular South Downs National Park in West Sussex, celebrating the world’s most legendary cars and extraordinary performance.

Evolution of the Maserati MC20 Halo Car

The Maserati MCPURA represents the next evolution of the MC20 Halo Car, which in 2020 marked the beginning of a new era for the brand. While retaining its unmistakable performance DNA, MCPURA elevates the concept to its most refined and intense form. Enhancements focus on exterior design, advanced materials, and luxurious interior finishes, while the heart of the car remains unchanged: the legendary 630 CV V6 Nettuno engine, a symbol of Maserati’s engineering excellence.

MCPURA encapsulates everything that defines the Maserati driving experience—unfiltered driver connection, extreme elegance, exhilarating performance, and timeless Italian craftsmanship.

E = MCPURA: Pure Energy in Motion

Pure elegance, character, and emotion define the MCPURA. Even its name reflects the essence of a model designed to concentrate the Trident’s most authentic values into a single, powerful statement. For the launch campaign, Maserati introduced the iconic formula E = MCPURA, a bold reference to Einstein’s theory of relativity, symbolizing an energy that multiplies into a pure expression of excellence.

Crafted in Modena: Maserati’s Beating Heart

Santo Ficili, Maserati COO, stated:

“With MCPURA, Maserati is reclaiming its rightful place—at the top, on its home ground. Both the coupé and Cielo versions are produced at our historic Modena facility, where the Trident has been beating for almost 90 years.”

From Nettuno engine production to final assembly and bespoke customization through the Maserati Officine Fuoriserie, the entire MCPURA manufacturing process takes place in Modena. As the oldest automotive brand in Italy’s Motor Valley, Maserati continues to represent Italian luxury and innovation on a global scale.

Design and Fuoriserie Customisation

At Goodwood, MCPURA debuted in the exclusive Ai Aqua Rainbow body colour, developed through the Maserati Fuoriserie customisation programme. The coupé features a matte finish, while the MCPURA Cielo showcases a gloss version. This dynamic blue hue shifts in sunlight, creating a prism-inspired rainbow effect.

Key design highlights include:

  • Magenta Trident badges with blue mica accents on the grille and C-pillar

  • Matching logo details on the rims with a burnished diamond-cut finish

  • Gloss details on the coupé and matte accents on the convertible

Inside, Alcantara Ice seats feature laser-etched Trident graphics, offering a striking three-dimensional effect that enhances the sporty yet elegant interior atmosphere.

Exclusive Colour Palette Inspired by Italian Heritage

The MCPURA colour range is bold, evocative, and deeply rooted in Maserati’s heritage. Three standout new colours include:

Through the Maserati Fuoriserie programme, customers can choose from over 30 body colours, including solid, metallic, multi-layer, and matte finishes.

Performance and Engineering Excellence

Available immediately in coupé and convertible (MCPURA Cielo) versions, the MCPURA is defined by four signature elements:

  1. Ultra-light carbon-fibre monocoque

  2. Patented 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 Nettuno engine

  3. Iconic Butterfly doors

  4. Retractable PDLC glass roof (Cielo version)

With a total weight under 1,500 kg and a power output of 630 CV, MCPURA delivers a class-leading power-to-weight ratio of 2.33 kg/CV.

Nettuno V6 Engine: Formula 1 Technology for the Road

The Maserati Nettuno engine is a technological masterpiece, developed entirely in-house and protected by international patents. The 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 produces:

  • 630 CV at 7,500 rpm

  • 720 Nm of torque from 3,000 rpm

  • 210 CV per litre

Its innovative pre-chamber combustion system with twin spark plugs, derived from Formula 1 technology, brings race-bred efficiency and performance to a road-legal super sports car.

MCPURA Cielo: Open-Air Innovation

The MCPURA Cielo introduces a world-first retractable PDLC glass roof in its class, capable of switching from opaque to transparent in just one second. This delivers three distinct driving experiences:

  • Intimate and focused with the roof closed

  • A unique “sky feeling” in transparent mode

  • Fully immersive open-air driving with the top down

100% Made in Modena

The MCPURA is produced at Maserati’s historic Viale Ciro Menotti plant in Modena, alongside the GT2 Stradale and, from Q4 2025, the GranTurismo and GranCabrio. From development to production and bespoke paintwork, MCPURA completes a 100% Made in Modena journey—standing as the new global standard-bearer for Italian luxury super sports cars.
