The Ford Mustang GTD Liquid Carbon has officially debuted at Laguna Seca Raceway, showcasing a bold new chapter in Mustang’s high-performance legacy. Engineered with race-inspired carbon fiber technology, this new trim in the Mustang GTD lineup emphasizes lightweight construction, functional aerodynamics, and an unmistakably aggressive look perfectly suited for both the track and the street.
Carbon Fiber Construction Inspired by Mustang GT3
Built to reflect the spirit of the Mustang GT3 race car currently competing in IMSA, the Mustang GTD Liquid Carbonskips traditional paint in favor of a raw, exposed carbon fiber body. This not only enhances aerodynamic performance but also reduces weight. By replacing the metal doors with bonded carbon fiber, the Liquid Carbon edition sheds approximately 13 pounds compared to the Mustang GTD Carbon Series equipped with the Performance package.
“Mustang GTD Liquid Carbon is the ultimate expression of high-tech, high-performance construction,” said Greg Goodall, Chief Program Engineer for Mustang GTD. “It’s a striking vehicle that embodies the race-derived capability under the skin of every GTD.”
Precision Carbon Weave and Aero Detailing
Every detail of the Mustang GTD Liquid Carbon is precision-engineered. The carbon fiber weave on the hood, roof, rear deck, and rear wing aligns perfectly down the centerline, while the fenders and side panels flow into a cohesive dorsal pattern. This attention to symmetry elevates both appearance and aerodynamic efficiency.
Unique to the Liquid Carbon edition are black Brembo brake calipers, an anodized carbon body finish, and gloss-black GTD badging. Like the Mustang GTD Spirit of America, the Performance package comes standard—reinforcing its track-ready DNA.

Inside, the Mustang GTD Liquid Carbon continues its race-inspired theme with a bold interior featuring black leather and Dinamica microfiber suede, accented by Hyper Lime stitching across the seats, door panels, center console, instrument panel, and steering wheel. A reflective center gradient adds a visual highlight to the purposeful, driver-focused cabin.
